About a.c. allan opticians

Proud to be an independent, second generation family business, a.c allan opticians was established in 1977. It remains a thriving practice today, delivering high quality eye care and professional, friendly service to our loyal, local customers.

Owner and qualified Dispensing Optician, Alex Allan, FBDO, has been part of the business for more than 40 years and is now supported by a dedicated team, including daughter and Dispensing Optician, Lucy Wilson FBDO. Together they specialise in lenses and frames, measurements, eye examinations, repairs, fittings and general patient care and both are members of the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO).

Kelly Baxter and Jo Hovell are our front of house team, looking after reception, making and managing appointments, running the clinic and supporting people with choosing frames.

A highly professional team of visiting Optometrists and Contact Lens Opticians are also available by appointment, many of whom have also worked with us for many years.

Registered with the General Optical Council (GOC) ensuring the highest standards of care, we believe our family approach to the provision of quality eyecare offers a refreshing change.
